Work as Spiritual Practice - EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED

Work as Spiritual Practice - EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
Saturday, February 8, 2014 - 9:30am - 4:00pm
Schedule: See above
Price: $35 suggested donation, $15 for ZCO members, $15 reduced rate available to those in need, contact registrar for details)

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO SNOWY WEATHER. We hope to reschedule it in March - please check back for updates.

When we think of spiritual practices we seldom include work.

Can work be a spiritual practice? Can a spiritual practice include work?

Is it possible to incorporate spiritual practice into the modern work place, which places such high value on competition, saving time, looking good, getting ahead, and making money?  What if you are working at home or can that be spiritual practice?

In this workshop we will explore Right Livelihood, mindfulness, and how to achieve balance at work.

We will use a variety of interactive work projects, discussions, and meditations to investigate how to integrate spiritual practice and work.  (Work can be  work at home, paid employment or volunteer situations.)

Please wear clothing appropriate for the work portion of the workshop. Guaranteed to include some fun!

Suggested donation includes vegetarian/vegan lunch. No one turned away for lack of funds.
