Chanting from the Heart: Pari-Nirvana Vigil

Saturday, February 15, 2014 - 7:00pm - 11:59pm
Schedule: See details below
Price: Free

This evening vigil will begin at 7pm and continue through midnight to commemorate the Buddha's passing from his physical form. We will use both toning and short chants alongside zazen to explore the breath of this body and bring ourselves to greater awareness of the ephemeral nature of sound in this moment.

The vigil is open whether the participants attended the afternoon Chanting Basics Class or not, though workshop participants are encouraged to attend if they want to practice the skills learned in class. The chanting vigil will include zazen and silent meditation along with toning and chanting.

Everyone is welcome!
