Amy Kisei Costenbader

Amy Kisei Costenbader is an ordained monastic at Great Vow, where she has lived since 2010. She is one of the Dharma Holders and Preceptors in this community. Kisei is on the Communications, Fundraising and Engaged Buddhism committees, and serves as the President of the Board. She teaches at Heart of Wisdom on Thursday nights, and co-leads retreats at the monastery. Her practice and teaching have influences from the Dzogchen and zen koan traditions, as well as the traditional and contemporary Loving Kindness practices. Kisei is interested in the confluence of Social Justice and Dharma. She also loves poetry, writing, movement and dance as forms of spiritual expression.
