Kim Hoben Hansen

Kim Hoben Hansen is a lay Zen teacher. He began formal Zen practice in 1995 and has been a student of Chozen Bays, Roshi and Zen Teacher Hogen Bays since 1996. In 2009 Hoben completed Sanghakai training, a 3-year program for lay Zen students designed to cultivate different aspects of Sangha service. He recieved Lay Dharma Transmission from Chozen Bays, Roshi and Hogen Bays, Roshi in 2015 He founded the North Shore Zendo (www.northshorezen.org) in Vancouver, Canada in 2006 and has led it since then. Hoben has led meditation retreats and taught Zen Buddhism in various contexts, including programs for lawyers and young people. He has attended numerous sesshin. He practices law as a tax litigator, is married, and has three grown daughters. In his free time, Hoben likes to be outdoors.
