Laura Jomon Martin

Laura Jomon Martin has been practicing with the Zen Community of Oregon since 2004. She has been involved in membership and organizational development of the Sangha. She has been a meditation instructor, and the chair of the Harmony Committee, the Sangha's conflict resolution body, for several years. She completed the 3-year Sanghakai training in 2013, and in 2016 was made a Dharma Holder. She currently assists on Sunday mornings at Heart of Wisdom, and teaches workshops with her husband Patrick Bansho Green on Mindfulness & Money and Transforming the Inner Critic. She also teaches Beyond Mindfulness, a class on various Dharma topics on Sunday evenings. Her career has been in social work since 1993, primarily in community mental health, and she is currently an LCSW in private practice, and a teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, certified through University of Massachusetts Medical School.
