Memorial for Recent Shootings

On December 20, the Heart of Wisdom sangha came together for Dharma teachings, community and individual expression, and a memorial service for the recent tragedies at Clackamas Town Center and Sandy Hook School along with other deaths throughout the world. Zen Priest Ryushin dedicated the service with a heartfelt poem.

On Friday morning Zen Priest Daitetsu lead us in ringing the Temple Bell at 9:30 am (along with the rest of the country) as we read the names of all who died at the Sandy Hook incident.

These two services helped provide for community expression and connection during this difficult time.
