Basics of Buddhism

This class series is designed as an indtroduction to the teachings of early Buddhism through Zen. We will begin by looking at the historical Buddha and what the Buddha taught. This will include teachings on the Four Noble Truths and Eight-fold Path, as well as the Three Marks (Impermanance, No-Self and Suffering/Nirvana). We will also look at the teachings on Karma, the different traditions within Buddhism, the Bodhisattva Path and finally Zen Buddhism.

This is a great entry level class for anyone with interest in the foundations of Buddhist Practice. 

This class is a requirement for anyone interested in taking Jukai.
