The practice-awakening of zazen has been embodied for thousands of years. During this sesshin, we lean into the teachings and lives of our ancestors and teachers. Sitting in the timeless truth of zazen.
Mere physical sitting is not enough. You have to sit carefully and attentively. Let your body and breathing sit. Let your mind and emotions sit. Let your blood circulation sit. Let everything sit. Then your sitting becomes indestructible, immovable. - Maezumi Roshi
Zazen is the essence of mind as is...Shodo Harada Roshi
Join us for this wholehearted endeavor of practice-awakening as we remember, celebrate and honor our lineage ancestors.
Sesshin is a rigorous and, at times, challenging meditation retreat that is not recommended for beginners. We ask that you attend one of our Beginner’s Mind or Loving Kindness weekend retreats before registering for our longer zen retreats.
