At Heart of Wisdom in May - June we will be exploring Loving Kindness Practices. Loving Kindness is simply an invitation into the heart of attention. It is a deep listening with tenderness and compassion to ourselves and the collective. This Sangha wide exploration into loving kindness will take many forms on the various nights of the week at Heart of Wisdom.
Tuesday night discussions will focus on the qualities of the Heart - Loving Kindness, Compassion, Empathetic Joy, Equanimity
Wednesday nights will be a creative exploration of the Bodhisattva Precepts
May 1st - Perspectives on the Precepts – Personal, Communal, Cosmic
May 8th - On Carl Jung's - "I'd rather be whole, than good"
May 15th - The Great Demon of Indifference
And we'll culminate this study with Code of the Heart: creating a personal rendition of each precept to make it more personal.
On Thursdays we will explore an expanded version of the Immeasureables, including Forgiveness and Gratitude, we will investigate Engaged Compassion, Self Compassion and Deep Self Love
Mindfulness Tasks will be offered weekly, as well as translations of the Metta Sutta and books to read.
No formal commitment necessary, may we all awaken the heart of love. May our world be just. May all beings be truly happy.
