Pari-Nirvana Sesshin - The Dream of Living and Dying : A 6-Day Meditation Retreat

Monday, February 19, 2018 - 5:00 pm to Sunday, February 25, 2018 - 1:00 pm

The Buddha's parinirvana is a lesson in the samadhi of vanishing.

During this retreat we'll explore the significance of the Buddha's final teaching for our own lives, as we investigate birth and death directly, instant by instant.

Sesshin is a rigorous and, at times, challenging meditation retreat that is not recommended for beginners. We require that you attend one of our silent weekend retreats or a five-seven day silent retreat at another Zen Center before registering for our longer zen retreats.

***For this sesshin, we are extending the option to attend part-time for all members with previous sesshin experience. Instead of attending the whole retreat, you would arrive on Friday, February 23rd by our morning work practice and stay through our Sunday program. If you are interested in attending for the weekend, please register as normal and let the registrar know of your desire to attend part-time.***
