The Way of the Bodhisattva: A Morning of Creative Sharing

Sunday, February 16, 2020 - 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

I rejoice in the virtue of all beings
To help attain the Way I offer any virtue that I have

This Winter the residents at Great Vow are engaged in the study, practice and expression of Shantideva’s pivotal text, The Way of the Bodhisattva.

How does one cultivate and nourish the aspiration to awaken with all beings? Does this view of practice, this orientation of the heart resonate with you? What ideals sustain your spiritual practice, and what ideals need to be shed?

As human beings on the spiritual path Shantideva’s Way of the Bodhisattva can offer a glimpse of the commitment and dedication possible for us. It can bring us in touch with our own commitment, and relationship to commitment. It can ask us, well what do I stand for. What is it about this practice that lights me up? What is my life about? Truly about? What do I care about? What do I love? And how to I live this love? How do I embody it? How do I practice it?

Join us on Sunday February 16th at 10A for our Sunday Program at Great Vow Zen Monastery, which will include performance, music and art from The Way of the Bodhisattva.
