Kisei Costenbader, Sensei is Zen Teacher and Buddhist Priest in the White Plum Lineage. She received Dharma Transmission (authorization to teach) from Chozen and Hogen Roshi in 2020. Kisei has 11 years of monastic training and over 3 years of meditation retreat experience. Kisei’s teaching style is heart-centered and spacious. She is justice oriented and is part of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion process within the Zen Community of Oregon. Kisei is also a poet and painter, and enjoys a creative and embodied approach to spiritual practice and teaching.
