Janet Kosho Ault lived and practiced at Great Vow Zen Monastery for six years, including two years of postulancy. She recently transitioned to Portland to practice with the Heart of Wisdom Sangha and explore a lay life of engaged Buddhism, especially regarding the climate crisis. She has helped run five previous wilderness sesshin and celebrates the power of deep immersion into our original home to heal perceived separation and guide us toward skillful action in protecting our endangered earth.

A Zen teacher once said, medicine and disease heal each other. The whole earth is medicine. What is the self? This weekend retreat is designed to encourage us to directly face the Climate Catastrophe.
